May 2007

Welcome to my new eNewsletter,  I plan to post periodic updates and share with you exciting developments in my photographic career, as well as share with you other exciting happenings in the photographic world.
This period between Yom Ha’atzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim is when we reflect on our nation’s history, through memories, stories, pictures and other forms of documentation.

Photography has always been one of the more powerful means of historical documentation to me, and it is with this spirit that I launch the first installment of my eNewsletter.

ENJOY!
Thanks to your constant support and many glowing references, I have been privileged to document and preserve many and varied life-cycle events. Every assignment yields new lessons about the fine points of both photography and human interaction, and enriches me and my work.

All of my photographic projects – weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs and other events, portraiture, nature and landscapes – have been influenced by a specialized photography workshop I attended in Cumbria, England (otherwise known as the Lake District) last fall. The master photographers there inspired me both artistically and technically. The focus on the day-to-day as the dramatic subject of portraiture was particularly interesting for me as it is distinct from traditional event portraiture. I am excited about being able to bring those moments of priceless simplicity into photographing events as well.

I welcome your comments!
